Research
Four programmes, from finding a target to a molecule ready for preclinical studies.
- 01
Antibiotics for resistant bacteria
New classes of antibiotics against the bacteria that resist every drug we have.
We focus on Gram-negative bacteria, whose double membrane keeps most drugs out.
- New bacterial targets
- Molecules that cross the outer membrane
- Resistance studies from the start
- 02
Structure-based design
Crystal structures and simulations guide each molecule we make.
We solve structures of our targets bound to inhibitors and use them, with free-energy calculations, to decide what to make next.
- 03
High-throughput screening
Robotic assays that test 100,000 compounds a week against live bacteria.
Whole-cell screens find molecules that actually reach their target, and our counter-screens weed out toxic ones early.
- 04
AI for medicinal chemistry
Machine-learning models that predict which molecules will work, and which will be safe.
We train models on our own screening data and use them to search billions of virtual molecules.
